Can triple-effect evaporators be used for juice concentration?

Can triple-effect evaporators be used for juice concentration?
Yes, triple-effect evaporators are the mainstream equipment for fruit juice concentration.

What materials should they be made of?

Material Selection: Parts in contact with materials are made of food-grade stainless steel SUS304/SUS316L, which meets GMP hygiene standards and is resistant to high-temperature steam and weak acid fruit juice corrosion.

What are their advantages?

Key Advantages:

1. Low-Temperature Concentration Preserves Quality: Operating temperature decreases progressively (75℃ for the first effect → 62℃ for the second effect → 48℃ for the third effect), effectively preserving heat-sensitive Vitamin C, flavor compounds, and nutrients. Vitamin C retention rate can reach over 90%.

2. Significant Energy Saving: Thermal energy utilization rate exceeds 80%. 1kg of steam can evaporate 3.5kg of water, resulting in a total energy consumption reduction of over 70% compared to single-effect systems, saving 4500 tons of steam annually.

3. Rapid Continuous Production: Utilizing a falling film or forced circulation design, material residence time is short, evaporation efficiency is high, and processing capacity can reach over 65 tons/hour.

4. High Degree of Automation: Equipped with a CIP automatic cleaning system, scale can be cleaned without stopping the machine, simplifying operation and reducing labor costs and the risk of cross-contamination.

5. Stable Product Quality: Fully enclosed production removes impurities and microorganisms, and the solid content of the concentrate can reach over 60°Brix.

The main feature is the falling film structure, which forms a uniform liquid film of juice on the inner wall of the heating tube, avoiding localized overheating and scorching.
